Bay Area Neurointensivists (BAN) is an independent group of fellowship trained-board certified/eligible Neurointensivists specializing in stroke care and management of critically ill neurology patients. We are based mostly in the San Francisco Bay Area with a nation-wide network of physicians covering our telemedicine program. 

We pride ourselves on the individualized care we provide. We are currently covering multiple hospitals in Northern California and the Central Coast. Our coverage model varies depending on the hospital's need. Services can range from in-person coverage ("boots on the ground") to a hybrid model with both in-person and teleservices for after hours or telemedicine services alone. 

Our physicians are specialized in the care of stroke, general neurology, seizures, and management of neuro critical care patients in the ICU. This includes but not limited to intracranial hemorrhages (both spontaneous and traumatic), brain tumors, Neurotrauma/Neuromonitoring, status epilepticus, nerve and muscle diseases, encephalopathies, spinal cord disorders, cardiopulmonary complications of neurological injuries, post cardiac arrest support and others.
